Stops to include RISE Haunted House, Mardi Gras World, Museum of Death, Demented Design Studios
(Trumbull, CT, October 23, 2017) – HAuNTcon – the Haunted Attraction National Tradeshow and Convention has announced the first two days of haunted attraction tours that will be taking place during its upcoming event – January 12-15, 2018 at the Ernest N Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Haunted attractions owners and managers throughout the country will have the opportunity to visit several local haunted attractions as well as New Orleans landmarks.
The tours will kick off with the full day Inspiration Tour on Thursday, January 11th with a new component for attendees to enjoy. The full day event will include stops at Mardi Gras World, Museum of Death, RISE Haunted House and Demented Design Studios, HAuNTcon’s first ever tour of a designer’s studio. The stops are designed to provide a behind the scenes look at everything from production of props to implementation of a haunted attraction and this year, the first 50 registrants for the tour will receive limited edition custom mask courtesy of Demented Design. At the end of the tour, participants will enjoy one of New Orleans well-known destinations, Bourbon Street, with a Bourbon Street Pub Crawl.

On Saturday, attendees will experience RISE Haunted House for an “October Style” lights off Haunted House and opportunity to experience the RISE five minute Escape Room. RISE Haunted House has been named one of Louisiana’s scariest dark attractions and features an abandoned bed & breakfast and secret research lab. Davy Plaisance, owner of RISE Haunted House, explained why he is opening his attraction to fellow haunters, “As a haunted house owner, we are always looking for new ideas for our attraction and touring haunts is not only a great way to drive inspiration but also to connect with our industry colleagues who share the passion for the season. In addition to these tours, attendees will also have the opportunity to network during the annual Costume Ball on Friday, January 13 at Generations Hall. The event, which provides haunters an opportunity to celebrate Halloween in their off-season, will be free for the first time for all badge holders.
